Vangi Bhath

Vangi Bhath is a popular dish in the state of Karnataka vangi translates to egg or brinjals bhath means cooking together.

  • 200 g Cauliflower
  • 2 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 Clove
  • 5 Tomato
  • 2 Tbsp onion
  • 1 Dry chili
  • 1 Green chili
  • 2 Tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1 Tsp curry leaves
  • 1 Tbsp biryani masala
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 2 Tbsp raw peanut
  • 1 Cup brinjal
  • 1 Tsp Fennel Seeds
  • Heat a pan with coconut oil/ sesame oil and bay leaves, clove, cardamom, fennel, seeds, groundnut, green chili, dry red chili and sauté on medium flame for a minute.
  • Add onion and sauté until the onion is translucent. Add tomato, brinjal, turmeric and biryani masala, and sauté for 2 Minutes on medium flame.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with raita accompaniment.
